Law Library: News & Events: Orientation to Legal Research Class on Oct. 15 at 10:00 a.m.

The next Orientation to Legal Research and the Use of Law Library Collections class is Thursday, October 15 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The class is designed to give a basic introduction to legal sources and research techniques. It provides an overview of statutes, regulations, and court cases and the relationships among them. The Law Library’s resources for locating these items in print and automated formats will be highlighted. The orientation classes, taught by reference librarians, are held bimonthly. To register, call (202) 707-3812 or complete the online registration form. Prior to attending a class, you need to obtain a Library of Congress Registration Card.
